Liv Jonsé is a writer, photographer, and director born and raised in Florida. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Science and Civic Urbanism from Rollins College and earned her MFA in Screenwriting from Florida State University.
While at FSU, her pilot was a Finalist for the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Student Discovery Prize. Her work explores themes of female desire, identity, and the cultural tensions of growing up religious in the South. She is drawn to stories that center complex women navigating desire, power, and the freedom to be imperfect.
